CAPP salutes five oil and gas firms

CAPP salutes five oil and gas firms by Calgary Herald, March 21, 2013
Encana was among five oil and gas companies recognized Wednesday by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers for its environmental and social performance. The company’s Race Against Hunger campaign and a recycling program at its Horn River work camps earned it the President’s Award at CAPP’s annual Responsible Canadian Energy dinner. Cenovus, Chevron, Suncor and ARC Resources were also chosen from a record 33 project nominations. Encana’s food bank drive, with the World Professional Chuck-wagon Association, raised more than $100,000 and almost 12,000 pounds of food for organizations in Alberta and B.C. last year, CAPP said.
