WHEELING, W.Va. – A federal judge has agreed to extend discovery in a toxic tort suit brought by a worker at a West Virginia gas drilling site operated by Schlumberg Technology Corp. (NYSE: SLB) and CNX Gas Co. (NYSE: CXG).
Judge John P. Bailey of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia granted the parties’ joint motion Oct. 25, extending discovery from Nov. 2 to Nov. 16, but leaving a Jan. 8 trial date unchanged. In his third order amending the discovery schedule, Judge Bailey also ordered that any dispositive motions be filed by Nov.
