Home on Native Land – RAVEN & Sentinel

Description

Home on Native Land is a self-guided course about Indigenous justice in Canada. Through a series of 10 videos, cartoons & lessons, people are invited to take a walk down the back alley of history — and the frontlines of legal action — with Anishinaabe comedian Ryan McMahon.

Hosted by RAVEN (Respecting Aboriginal Values and Environmental Needs) and Sentinel Education Foundation, this webinar is designed to introduce you to the complex legal concepts that are baked into the foundation of this country, and to equip people with an understanding of where outdated and unjust laws can be challenged, and changed.

What leading First Nations thinkers, artists, and — yes — comedians reveal in their reflections is fundamental knowledge for anyone who is committed to living in a fair country.
